New 52mm 420W Brushless DC motor

With a torque level of 1Nm from only 52mm the brushless DC motor reaches new levels of power density for the maxon line up of electronically commutated servo DC motors. New cooling designs for the motor have drastically increased the power output of the 52mm ECi motor from 180W to 420W. The new motor will be included in the maxon modular system, which allows machine developers to select from a range of both incremental and absolute encoders for fine speed and position regulation. Controllers with matching power capabilities are available from the maxon ESCON and EPOS range. As well, maxon Australia engineers are able to assist not only with selection but also offer setup and programming services in multiple languages. The new brushless DC motors are now available for sample ordering for any application in the robotics or industrial machine and specialised hand tool market, that requires extremely high power levels from a small envelope.
