Supporting the EPOS2 Module 36/2 DC motor control unit , maxon motor offer the multi axis motherboard which can be implemented with simple steps to suit applications with up to 11 axes of motion control. Featuring a flexible and modular design, the EPOS2 module motherboard system is extremely versatile. The motherboard is a cost-effective, ready-to-use solution for multi-axis motor control applications.
The EPOS2 motor control range are highly efficient and dynamic positioning controllers that can be used with brushed and brushless DC motors (DC and BLDC). They were developed to efficiently and accurately fulfill complex motor positioning functions. EPOS2 control units contain wide-ranging functions and can be very easily put into commission.
The EPOS2 Module 36/2 is designed as plug-in module for OEM system integration. For rapid, uncomplicated product development and to facilitate the customer’s motherboard design, maxon motor already offers a starter kit with evaluation board for single axis systems.
In contrast, the described EPOS2 Module Motherboard may be used when design and manufacturing of your own multi-axis motherboard does not pay off, or when a short-term solution must be found. It is available as 1 to 11 axes versions and can be adapted to suit as required. Additionally, extensive accessories, such as pre-prepared cables, extension modules for communication, I/Os, or Dual Encoder are also obtainable.
