Brushless DC motor with encoder and custom KV

The new range of vented rotor brushless DC motors from maxon offer a number of customisable features. For example, the illustration below shows a 60mm 150W 24V brushless flat motor with a custom shaft length of 76mm and an internally mounted 4096cpt incremental encoder. The shaft is available with machined sections, end threads and keyways. maxon outrunner brushless motors are available with typically 12V 24V and 48V windings for 4s to 12s batteries so engineers can select the correct KV value for the application. Custom windings are a available where engineers can specify the exact KV they need. The high resolution position sensor is bult inside the motor and increases the total motor length by only 1mm.
